Today, hotels are not only places to sleep but places of work. New concepts for business hotels try to meet the requirements resulting from this change: with forward-looking offers and services as well as exceptional design.
Business travellers spend a large part of their time in hotels – and have special demands on hotel equipment and services. Although stylish interiors are important for business hotels, opportunities for working and professional exchange are even more relevant.
Today, work is mobile and flexible, the consequence being that requirements on the working environment are constantly changing. Clever furnishing solutions are therefore able to adapt: shelves, desks and whole furniture systems can be easily modified.
A creative working atmosphere provides room for new ideas. Interior design, colours and exceptional details ensure stimulation and motivation. Current office projects demonstrate how varied and colourful day-to-day work can be.
The fact that physical activities at the workplace increase performance levels is no new insight. However, offers such as cycling or playing football in the office are rather unusual. Recent projects combine sports and play with day-to-day office routines.
Communicative, young and colourful: these are the main characteristics of latest projects focussing on fun and creativity in daily work routines. With playful designs and exceptional interiors, these working environments provide for a special office experience – while simultaneously increasing the motivation of the staff. Â
As leading international trade fair, the next ORGATEC will present an overview of all facets of modern working environments. From 25 to 29 October 2016, renowned exhibitors will present innovative products and solutions related to office work in Cologne. However, the trade fair already addressed new developments in the industry in preparation for the event. The recently held 4th ORGATEC Symposium “Office. Space. Trends.” focused on the topics of motivation and identification – crucial conditions for the wellbeing of employees and the success of companies.
ORGATEC starts the trade fair year 2016 with a new communicative appearance. We asked Stefan Kokkes, project manager of ORGATEC, about the changes.
