ORGATEC 2016 closed last Saturday with outstanding results. The leading international trade fair for the modern working world recorded a considerable increase in visitor numbers of more than 10 per cent with more than 56,000 visitors from 118 countries. The trade fair’s theme, “creativity works – new visions of work”, ran through the presentations by the exhibitors and attracted praise from architects and designers in particular.

In its “Work” presentation at ORGATEC 2016 Vitra attends to present-day and future working worlds. Together with partners from different industries, unusual office concepts are presented in Hall 5.2. What characterises good work conditions for people in Germany? What are the chances but also the challenges they see today and for the future? These are the questions the Federal Ministry for Labour and Social Affairs addresses in its current study: “Worlds of Values”. The recently published study is part of the “Arbeiten 4.0” initiative, the german ministry initiated to explore the future of the working society until the end of 2016.

As leading international trade fair, the next ORGATEC will present an overview of all facets of modern working environments. From 25 to 29 October 2016, renowned exhibitors will present innovative products and solutions related to office work in Cologne. However, the trade fair already addressed new developments in the industry in preparation for the event. The recently held 4th ORGATEC Symposium “Office. Space. Trends.” focused on the topics of motivation and identification – crucial conditions for the wellbeing of employees and the success of companies.
